- Be punctual - if late for a session, you MUST ask a coach before coming onto the mat
- NO shoes on the mat
- ALWAYS wear shoes to and from the mat to keep your feet clean
- Don't wear any jewellery onto the mat or any hair ties containing metal, plastic or other hard material
- No bad language in the dojo
- Fingernails must be short and no jewellery is to be worn
- Bring a big enough water bottle to training so that you don't have to refill it during the session. Leave the bottle along the edge of the mat with your shoes
- Do not sit during training unless advised by your instructor
- If you are sitting on the mat either kneel (seiza) or cross your legs
- If you need to leave the mat or the dojo you must advise your instructor and bow off
- Above all, train and fight hard and have respect for our fellow judoka
